I'm reminded of one of my parables. In a crowd, people bump into other people. They don't mean to hurt anyone. They are not malicious or evil. But, when people are close to others, the potential to get hurt goes up. This doesn't make the one doing to hurting a bad guy. It also doesn't make the one who got hurt a victim. It only means, one person's movement hurt another person. A friend of mine is starting a business. He has two small boys at home. His attention to his business often comes before his kids. This hurts the kids. But he can't create the business unless he puts his focus on it. He does not want to hurt his kids. But the affect is the same. People hurt people. They don't mean to, want to, or even know they have. When we know this, we stop seeing ourselves as the victims.
